What is the Icon treatment for acne scars?
Dr. Polavaram typically uses the Icon 1540 non-ablative fractional laser for acne scars. This laser delivers concentrated light inside the tough scar tissue to loosen and break it up.
You’ll naturally absorb the old scar tissue and dispose of it through regular lymphatic function over the next few months. The laser also stimulates collagen and elastin generation, which smooths out lingering depressions or holes in your skin once the scar tissue is gone.
What is the Icon treatment for skin resurfacing?
When you want all-around skin improvement, Dr. Polavaram may recommend skin resurfacing with a combination of the Cynosure Icon MaxG™ IPL and the Cynosure Icon 1540 fractional laser.
The MaxG uses intense pulsed light to break up pigmentation like brown spots and vascular lesions like spider veins. MaxG works especially well for signs of sun damage on your face.
Then, the 1540 laser prompts your body to make new elastin and collagen, which helps smooth out skin depressions and tighten and firm your skin.
What is the Icon treatment for hair removal?
